The highly anticipated heavyweight fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua has been confirmed after Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, revealed that contracts for the bout have been signed.

Hearn said the agreement is now in place and neither fighter can simply withdraw from the contest. He explained that the major issue still being discussed is the date and venue for the fight. 

The proposed all British heavyweight showdown is expected to take place in November, although an exact date and location have not yet been officially announced.

The fight was initially expected to take place in the United Kingdom, with Wembley Stadium considered as a possible venue. However, organisers are also considering holding the contest in the United States, with Madison Square Garden in New York reportedly among the venues being discussed. 

Hearn said Joshua’s camp would prefer the fight to remain in Britain, but indicated that discussions with the organisers were still ongoing over the possibility of moving the event to the United States.

The long awaited clash has generated significant interest among boxing fans, with both fighters expected to meet in what could become one of the biggest heavyweight contests in recent years.

Fury and Joshua have both returned to action as they prepare for the proposed showdown, while negotiations continue over the final arrangements for the event.

The fight is also expected to attract a global television audience, with Netflix reportedly involved in the broadcast plans. 
