The Adamawa State Planning Commission has commenced an inspection and monitoring exercise to assess the progress and implementation of ongoing government projects across the state.
The exercise, led by the Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Mary Paninga, covered major projects including the Shopping Complex, Amusement Park, Ultra Modern Stadium, Half Cloverleaf Flyover, NYSC Camp, International Conference Centre and the 1,000 Housing Units, among other special projects.
During the inspection, the team assessed the level of work completed, quality of construction, compliance with approved specifications and challenges that could affect the timely completion of the projects.
The Commission observed significant progress on several of the projects and commended the administration of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for its continued investment in infrastructure and development across Adamawa State.
The team recommended sustained monitoring and effective supervision to ensure that contractors adhere to approved standards, specifications and timelines.
The Commission also stressed the importance of completing the projects to enable residents benefit from the infrastructure and services they are designed to provide.
The monitoring exercise reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to strengthening planning, monitoring and evaluation of government projects as part of efforts to promote sustainable development in Adamawa State.
