Religious leaders in Kaduna State have praised Governor Uba Sani for demonstrating compassion and integrity by fulfilling promises made to families who lost loved ones in separate tragic incidents, describing the gesture as a reflection of responsible and people-centred leadership.
The commendation followed the presentation of newly built homes to Mrs. Sarah Achi, widow of the late Ven. Edwin Achi, an Anglican priest who was killed by kidnappers, and Malam Usman Aliyu, whose wife, Islamic teacher Ummulkhairi Aliyu, was murdered in a mob attack.
Speaking during the handover ceremony, prominent Christian and Muslim clerics applauded the governor for standing by his commitments, noting that his actions had restored hope to the affected families and reinforced public confidence in leadership driven by compassion and accountability.
The clerics described Governor Sani’s intervention as a powerful demonstration that leadership extends beyond governance to caring for citizens during their most difficult moments. They urged other public office holders to emulate his commitment to fulfilling promises and prioritising the welfare of vulnerable families.
Governor Uba Sani reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting victims of insecurity and other humanitarian challenges across Kaduna State. He noted that beyond providing the houses, the state government remains dedicated to ensuring the welfare and education of affected children while implementing programmes that promote peace, security and social inclusion.
The governor stressed that his administration would continue to pursue policies that protect lives, strengthen community resilience and provide meaningful support to families affected by violence, in line with its vision of building a more secure and prosperous Kaduna State.
