The management of a university in Jigawa State has expelled 12 students over alleged involvement in cultism, robbery and other misconduct, as the institution intensifies efforts to maintain discipline and ensure a safe academic environment.

The affected students were reportedly sanctioned following investigations into allegations of serious offences. The university management said disciplinary measures were necessary to uphold its rules and regulations and protect students and staff.

The development underscores the institution’s position that criminal activities and conduct capable of disrupting academic activities will not be tolerated within the university community.

The management urged students to abide by the institution’s regulations, avoid criminal activities and report suspicious behaviour through the appropriate channels.

The university also reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a secure environment where students can pursue their studies without fear or disruption.
