The Anambra State Internal Revenue Service (AIRS) has commenced enforcement measures against taxpayers who have failed to comply with the state’s tax laws and revenue regulations.

The agency said the exercise is aimed at improving tax compliance, expanding the state’s revenue base and ensuring that individuals and businesses meet their statutory tax obligations.

AIRS urged taxpayers with outstanding obligations to regularise their accounts and settle applicable liabilities to avoid penalties or other enforcement actions.

The agency also reiterated its commitment to strengthening revenue collection while promoting transparency and compliance across the state.
