Northern Governors’ Wives Pay Courtesy Visits to Fintiri, Lamido of Adamawa

Members of the Northern Governors’ Wives Forum (NGWF), led by its Chairperson, Hajiya Asma’u Inuwa Yahaya, have paid separate courtesy visits to Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, and the Lamido of Adamawa, His Royal Highness Dr. Barkindo Aliyu Mustdafa, as part of activities marking the Forum’s 2nd Tri Annual Meeting in Yola.

Receiving the delegation at the Government House, Governor Fintiri commended the Forum for its sustained efforts to improve the welfare of women, children and vulnerable members of society.

The Governor assured the Forum of the support and cooperation of state governors in initiatives aimed at promoting social development and improving the wellbeing of citizens.

The delegation also visited the Lamido Palace, where members were received by the royal father, His Royal Highness Dr. Barkindo Aliyu Mustdafa, CFR. The Lamido welcomed the visitors and offered prayers, blessings and goodwill while recognising their contributions to the welfare of families and communities.

The courtesy visits provided an opportunity to strengthen relationships between the Forum, government and traditional institutions, while highlighting the importance of collective efforts in addressing challenges affecting women, children and vulnerable communities.
