The Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) has mandated Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and other stakeholders to submit all procurement requests and related documents through its Digital Submission Portal.

According to a report by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), BPP Director General, Dr Adebowale Adedokun, announced the directive in a statement issued by the bureau’s Assistant Chief Information Officer, Ngozi Anyaelezu, in Abuja on Monday.

Adedokun said the move was part of the Federal Government’s digital transition and paperless governance strategy, following a February 18, 2026 circular directing the transition to the BPP Submission Portal.

He said the web based automated platform would allow MDAs, vendors, contractors, consultants and service providers to submit official correspondence and procurement related requests electronically.

According to him, the system would improve transparency, streamline workflows, reduce bureaucratic delays and strengthen accountability in public procurement.

Adedokun said the directive marked the end of manual filings and physical document submissions, stressing that the bureau would no longer accept manual submissions.

He urged accounting officers, procurement units and ICT departments across MDAs to align their operations with the digital portal and ensure full compliance with the directive.

The BPP DG added that stakeholders requiring onboarding, technical or integration support could contact the bureau’s Help Desk for assistance.
