Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has approved the appointment of six commissioners designate and four political aides as part of efforts to strengthen governance and improve service delivery across the state.
As reported by NAN The Secretary to the Niger State Government, Abubakar Usman, disclosed this in a statement issued on Tuesday and signed by the Information Officer in his office, Abubakar Kuta.
The commissioners designate are Lucky Barau of Gurara, Isah Wakili of Bosso, Isah Adamu of Kontagora, Emmanuel Alamu of Magama, Shuaibu Saidu Kaboji of Mashegu and Mohammed Danladi Garba of Borgu Local Government Areas.
Bago also appointed Nma Kolo as Chief Political Adviser, while Yahaya Emilugi, Yusuf Tagwai and Salman Yusuf were named Special Advisers on Political Matters for Zones A, B and C respectively.
The state government said the appointments were aimed at strengthening governance, improving service delivery and ensuring broader representation across Niger State.
The six commissioners designate are expected to appear before the Niger State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation in line with the law.
