The rescue operation forms part of ongoing efforts by security forces to tackle banditry and kidnapping and restore safety to communities across the North-West.

The troops reportedly conducted operations in areas affected by criminal activities, leading to the rescue of the victims who had been held captive by suspected bandits.

The rescued victims were subsequently moved to safety for necessary medical attention and further processing by the authorities.

Security forces have continued to intensify operations against bandit groups operating across the region, targeting their camps and routes used for kidnapping and other criminal activities.

The authorities have also urged residents to remain vigilant and provide security agencies with useful information that could assist ongoing efforts to protect communities and prevent further attacks.

The latest rescue underscores the continued military push to dismantle criminal networks and secure vulnerable communities in Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara states.
