First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Receives Israeli Ambassador, Reaffirms Commitment to Humanitarian Partnership

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to promoting humanitarian initiatives and improving the welfare of vulnerable Nigerians during a courtesy visit by the Ambassador of Israel to Nigeria, Michael Freeman, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

During the meeting, the First Lady highlighted the importance of compassion, unity, and collaborative efforts in addressing the challenges facing vulnerable groups across the country. She noted that Nigeria is blessed with abundant human and natural resources and called on citizens to support one another in building a more inclusive and prosperous society.

Senator Tinubu also emphasized the need to strengthen partnerships in key areas, including food and nutrition security, healthcare, education, women’s empowerment, youth development, and innovation, describing international cooperation as essential to achieving sustainable national development.

In his remarks, Ambassador Freeman reaffirmed Israel’s commitment to deepening bilateral relations with Nigeria, expressing his country’s readiness to collaborate on humanitarian programmes and development initiatives that will benefit communities across the nation.

The envoy commended the First Lady’s efforts in advancing social intervention programmes and pledged Israel’s continued support in areas of mutual interest, particularly initiatives aimed at improving the lives of women, children, and other vulnerable populations.

The meeting reflects the growing diplomatic and development cooperation between Nigeria and Israel, with both sides expressing optimism about expanding partnerships that promote sustainable development and shared prosperity.
