The endorsement followed extensive consultations and deliberations by members of the Forum, who assessed Comrade Mustapha Salihu’s leadership experience, commitment to public service, political contributions and grassroots mobilisation efforts.
The Forum noted that Mustapha Salihu has held key leadership positions within the All Progressives Congress (APC), including National Vice Chairman, North East, where he contributed to strengthening party structures and promoting unity.
According to the Forum, he has distinguished himself through accessibility, humility, discipline and a commitment to the welfare of the people. His advocacy for grassroots empowerment, youth engagement, peaceful coexistence, reconciliation and inclusive leadership was also cited as part of the reasons for the endorsement.
After its consultations, the Forum concluded that Comrade Mustapha Salihu possesses the vision, competence, leadership experience and track record required to provide effective representation for the people of Adamawa Central Senatorial District.
The group further said his experience in public leadership, governance, conflict resolution, community development and legislative advocacy places him in a strong position to attract meaningful development to the zone.
The Forum therefore called on APC members, political stakeholders, community leaders, women, youths and residents of Adamawa Central Senatorial District to support Mustapha Salihu’s aspiration.
It said the collective support would help consolidate development gains and promote unity, purposeful leadership, inclusive development and shared prosperity across the zone.
