The Adamawa State Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry has warned members of the public against fraudsters demanding money under the false claim that they can secure or re acquire shops at the newly constructed Jimeta Ultra Modern Shopping Mall.
The Commissioner for Commerce, Trade and Industry, Hon. Joab Haggai Sahma, issued the warning in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Abdulazeez Adamu Buba.
The Commissioner said the ministry had received reports of individuals demanding money from members of the public while falsely claiming that such payments would guarantee the allocation or re acquisition of shops at the mall.
He stressed that the ministry had not authorised any individual or group to collect money for the allocation or re acquisition of shops at the shopping mall.

The ministry urged members of the public to remain vigilant and avoid making payments to anyone claiming to have the authority to allocate shops at the facility.
It advised anyone approached by suspected fraudsters to refuse payment and report the matter to the ministry or appropriate security authorities.
The ministry reiterated its commitment to ensuring transparency in the management and allocation of shops at the Jimeta Ultra Modern Shopping Mall.
