The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday inaugurated its Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) for the 2027 election, expressing confidence that the achievements of President Bola Tinubu‘s administration would strengthen the party’s chances of securing another electoral victory. The event, held in Abuja, brought together party leaders, elected officials, and supporters tasked with coordinating campaign activities across the country.

Speaking at the inauguration, Bola Tinubu said he would not allow campaign activities to distract him from the responsibilities of governance. According to the President, while the campaign council would take the party’s message to Nigerians across the states and local government areas, his administration would remain focused on addressing national challenges and fulfilling its commitments to citizens. He also urged party members not to become complacent, stressing the importance of working hard to secure victory at the polls.

In his remarks, Hope Uzodimma, Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum and Governor of Imo State, advised the President to remain focused on governance while governors and party stakeholders take charge of campaign activities. He expressed confidence in the party’s ability to communicate the administration’s achievements to Nigerians and mobilise support ahead of the election.

Also speaking at the event, Nentawe Yilwatda, the APC National Chairman, described the party as united and prepared for the task ahead. He stated that the APC would campaign based on the record of the Tinubu administration and the policies implemented under the Renewed Hope Agenda. He further highlighted growing support from political figures across different political backgrounds.
