More than 100 secondary school girls in Yola, Adamawa State, have participated in a human rights education programme organised by Amnesty International Nigeria to promote awareness of their rights and encourage their personal development.
According to Amnesty International Nigeria, the interactive programme, held ahead of the International Day of the Girl Child, provided a platform for the girls to learn about their rights, share their opinions and express themselves through creative activities.

The organisation stressed that every girl deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and pursue her dreams in safety and dignity, calling for greater investment in girls’ rights and stronger efforts to end child marriage.

The initiative underscores the importance of empowering girls with knowledge and creating an environment where they can reach their full potential without discrimination, abuse or harmful practices.
