The Adamawa State Government has commenced the implementation of its Civil Service Digitisation and Capacity Building Project, aimed at modernising administrative operations, improving payroll integrity and strengthening service delivery through an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
The kick-off meeting was led by the Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Awwal D. Tukur, under Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s Adamawa 2.0 Digital Transformation Agenda. According to the project announcement, key participants included the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr. Edgar Amos Sunday; Head of Service, Isa Shehu Ardo; Civil Service Commission Chairman, Barrister Musa Kaibo; Commissioner for Finance, Augustina Maimuna Wandamihya; Accountant-General, James Kefas; and Special Adviser on ICT, E-Governance and Policy, Dr. Hammajam Ahmed Adamu.

The initiative will harmonise personnel and administrative records across the Civil Service Commission, Office of the Head of Service and Office of the Accountant-General, creating a unified and reliable database to support personnel verification, establishment management, payroll monitoring and evidence-based decisions.

The digital platform will be hosted on the state’s digital infrastructure, with cybersecurity measures and safeguards to ensure compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
The reform is expected to promote transparency, speed up administrative approvals, preserve institutional records and equip civil servants with modern digital tools and skills for more efficient public service delivery.
The state government has called for strong collaboration, accountability and effective implementation to ensure the project delivers sustainable improvements across the civil service.
