The victim, identified as Hassan, was abducted on September 6, 2026, around Fidelity Bank in the Garrison area of Port Harcourt and taken to Igbugulu Waterside in Borikiri.
According to the police, the victim was held captive for three days before his relatives paid ₦10.3 million in ransom, leading to his release.
The Command said its Violent Crime Response Unit commenced an intelligence-led operation after receiving information about the abduction. The operation resulted in the arrest of two suspects at a waterfront hideout in Borikiri.
The suspects were identified as 24-year-old Victor Ifeanyi, also known as Big Boby, from Anambra State, and 36-year-old Aniekan Okon Michael, also known as Duff Man, from Akwa Ibom State.
