OPay’s Chief Compliance Officer, Chukwudinma Okafor, has outlined the measures the fintech company uses to combat financial crime and protect customers.
According to Okafor, OPay combines identity verification, biometric checks, transaction monitoring and anti fraud controls to strengthen the security of its financial services and detect suspicious activities.
He explained that the systems help the company verify users, monitor transactions for unusual patterns and take appropriate action when potential fraudulent activities are identified.
Okafor said the use of technology driven compliance measures remains an important part of OPay’s efforts to safeguard customers and maintain secure digital financial services.
