Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has called on Area Development Administrators across the state to strengthen grassroots sensitisation and community engagement.

Governor Fintiri made the call on Friday when he received the Forum of Fifty Area Development Administrators, led by its Chairman, Emmanuel Isa Lawan, during a courtesy visit to the Government House in Yola.

The Governor described the administrators as grassroots actors who are closely connected to local communities and play an important role in promoting development and democratic participation.

He commended their contributions to the development recorded across the state, noting that the progress achieved under his administration had involved the support and participation of various stakeholders at the grassroots.

Fintiri urged the forum to intensify engagement with communities and mobilise residents ahead of the forthcoming general elections. He also acknowledged the forum’s recognition of grassroots participation as an important part of governance and development.

Earlier, Lawan said the delegation visited the Governor to appreciate his administration’s development projects and acknowledge the opportunity given to Area Development Administrators to serve their communities.

He said the forum would mobilise its members for the success of APC candidates in the forthcoming elections. The delegation also presented a Siena bus and five bundles of wrappers as contributions towards the campaign efforts of Governor Fintiri and President Bola Tinubu.
