Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has travelled to Maiduguri, Borno State, to participate in the 13th regular meeting of the North East Governors’ Forum (NEGF).
The two day meeting, which commenced on October 2, is being hosted by Borno State Governor and Chairman of the forum, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum.
Governors from Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe States are expected to deliberate on issues affecting the development and stability of the North East region.
Key areas of discussion include security, good governance, peaceful coexistence and strategies for improving socio economic development across the six states.
The meeting provides an opportunity for the governors to review regional challenges, strengthen cooperation and develop joint approaches to issues affecting communities across the North East.
