The City Boy Movement has appointed former Super Eagles defenders Shehu Abdullahi and Kenneth Omeruo to leadership positions in its national sports structure.
The appointments were announced on Thursday by the movement’s National Director of Media Monitoring and Rapid Response, Bashir Ahmad, alongside a member of its National Working Committee.
Abdullahi was appointed National Deputy Director of Sports, while Omeruo was named National Assistant Director of Sports.
Ahmad welcomed both former internationals to the movement, describing their appointments as part of its sports leadership structure.
Shehu Abdullahi, 33, represented Nigeria at the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. Omeruo, 32, also featured prominently for the Super Eagles and represented Nigeria at the 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cups.
The City Boy Movement is a political support group associated with President Bola Tinubu and says it focuses on youth mobilisation, civic engagement and grassroots activities.
The appointments come as the movement expands its sports and entertainment structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.
