The Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency (PAWECA) will begin profiling and admission of prospective trainees into its 10 Technical Skills Acquisition Centres (TSAC) across Adamawa State from October 5, 2026.
Director General of the Agency, Dr. Michael Zira, disclosed this on Tuesday at a press conference held at the PAWECA headquarters in Yola.
According to Zira, the exercise will run from Monday, October 5 to Friday, October 9, beginning at 8:00 a.m. daily. Eligible applicants must be between 18 and 40 years old and able to read and write.
He explained that applicants are expected to appear at their respective Local Government Secretariats during the five day exercise for profiling and admission.
The PAWECA boss assured applicants of a transparent process and warned staff against any form of sharp practice during the exercise.
He encouraged eligible youths and women across the state to participate, noting that the Agency had introduced Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Graphic Design alongside its existing skills acquisition courses.
Zira also commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for supporting skills acquisition programmes aimed at promoting youth and women empowerment, self reliance and economic opportunities.
