Police Arrest 27-Year-Old Woman Over Fake OPay Shutdown Notice

Police authorities have arrested a 27-year-old woman over an alleged fake notice claiming that OPay would shut down its operations.

The suspect was reportedly taken into custody after the notice circulated publicly, prompting concerns among customers and members of the public.

Police said an investigation has commenced to determine the source of the notice, the motive behind its circulation and whether other individuals were involved.

Authorities warned against spreading false information capable of causing panic or misleading the public, stressing that anyone found responsible would face the law.
