A Sokoto State government official listed as the state coordinator of an alleged fake agency has denied any affiliation with the organization, distancing himself from the appointment and activities attributed to him.
The official reportedly rejected the designation, saying he was neither consulted nor appointed to serve as coordinator of the organization.
The development has raised concerns over the activities of individuals and groups allegedly using government officials’ names and positions to gain credibility or conduct activities without proper authorization.
The official urged members of the public to disregard the listing and avoid associating him with the organization until the relevant authorities clarify the matter.
He also called for appropriate action to be taken against those responsible for allegedly using his name without consent.
