The Katsina State Government has intensified efforts to block financial leakages and strengthen the management of public funds through tighter operations of the Treasury Single Account (TSA).

The move is aimed at improving transparency, accountability and effective monitoring of government revenue, while ensuring that public resources are properly captured and utilised for the benefit of residents.

The government’s decision comes as part of broader efforts to strengthen financial management and reduce opportunities for revenue diversion and other leakages within the state’s public sector.

Under the strengthened TSA operations, greater attention will be placed on the proper remittance and monitoring of government revenues, with relevant agencies expected to comply with established financial procedures.

The initiative is also expected to enhance the government’s ability to track its finances and improve planning and budget implementation across various sectors.

The development underscores the administration’s commitment to prudent management of public resources and stronger fiscal discipline in Katsina State
