Senator Olalekan Fadahunsi has clarified his recent comment about “killing Accord,” explaining that he was referring to defeating the Accord Party through votes and democratic means, not through violence.

Fadahunsi said his statement was made in the context of political competition and was intended to encourage voters to reject the party at the polls. He stressed that he does not support violence or any action that could threaten peace and democratic participation.

The clarification comes amid reactions to his earlier remarks, which had generated concerns and different interpretations among members of the public.

Fadahunsi maintained that political differences should be settled through the ballot box, urging supporters and political parties to respect democratic principles and allow voters to freely choose their preferred candidates.
