The Federal Government has announced plans to commence the payment of outstanding wage awards owed to federal public servants by the middle of August, reaffirming its commitment to fulfilling agreements reached with organised labour.
Government officials said arrangements have been concluded to clear the backlog of wage award payments, which accumulated over previous months. The payments form part of measures introduced to cushion the impact of rising living costs on workers pending the implementation of broader wage reforms.
