Coronation Asset Management has launched a N20 billion infrastructure fund aimed at mobilising long term capital for critical infrastructure projects across Nigeria, offering investors an opportunity to participate in financing key sectors of the economy.
The fund is designed to support investments in infrastructure assets including transportation, energy, utilities and other projects considered essential to Nigeria’s economic growth and development. It is expected to attract institutional investors, high net worth individuals and other qualified participants seeking long term investment opportunities.
According to the fund managers, the initiative seeks to bridge the country’s infrastructure financing gap while providing investors with access to professionally managed assets capable of delivering competitive long term risk adjusted returns. The offering also aligns with broader efforts to deepen Nigeria’s capital market and encourage private sector participation in infrastructure development.
Coronation said the fund will focus on commercially viable projects with strong growth potential while adopting sound governance and risk management practices to protect investors’ interests. The company noted that infrastructure investment remains a key driver of economic expansion, job creation and improved public services.
Market analysts believe the launch of the infrastructure fund comes at a time when Nigeria requires significant private capital to complement government spending on roads, power, housing and other strategic sectors. Increased investment in infrastructure is expected to enhance productivity, improve connectivity and stimulate economic activities nationwide.
The N20 billion offer is open to eligible investors in accordance with regulatory guidelines, with the fund expected to contribute to sustainable financing solutions for Nigeria’s long term infrastructure needs.
