Alphabet Inc., the parent company of Google and YouTube, is preparing to raise up to $25 billion through its latest U.S. bond offering, according to a report by Bloomberg News.
The technology giant is offering notes across multiple maturities, ranging from two to 40 years, as it seeks additional funding amid rising investments in artificial intelligence infrastructure and other long-term projects.
The move comes as major technology companies increase borrowing to support the costly expansion of AI data centres, computing capacity, and advanced AI systems. Alphabet recently raised its capital spending outlook, sparking investor concerns about the pace of returns from its AI investments.
The bond sale highlights the growing financial demands of the global AI race, with Big Tech firms turning increasingly to debt markets to fund the next generation of technology development.
