The Taraba State Government has commenced the payment of salary arrears following the approval of Governor Agbu Kefas, with beneficiaries across the state already receiving credit alerts.
The payment exercise, which was officially flagged off in Ardo Kola Local Government Area, marks the beginning of the disbursement process to eligible local government workers, primary school teachers, traditional council staff and local government pensioners.
Beneficiaries have started confirming receipt of the first month’s salary arrears, reflecting the government’s commitment to fulfilling its promise to clear outstanding payments and improve the welfare of workers and retirees.
The administration described the development as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen public service delivery, restore confidence among workers and ensure the timely settlement of outstanding financial obligations.
The Taraba State Government reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing the welfare of civil servants and pensioners through responsible financial management and sustained implementation of policies aimed at improving the livelihoods of residents across the state.
