The Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital, MAUTH, Yola, has commenced full clinical services at its newly established Urban Centre, marking a major step in expanding access to quality healthcare in Adamawa State and the North East.

According to a statement issued on Monday by the hospital’s Information and Public Relations Department, the new facility officially began operations on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

The ultra modern healthcare centre, located along Lamido Zubairu Way, Yola Town Bye pass in Yola South Local Government Area, was donated by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company, NNPC Limited, as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and improve access to quality medical services.

Equipped with state of the art medical facilities and advanced healthcare technology, the Urban Centre is expected to enhance specialist healthcare delivery and improve patient outcomes for residents of Adamawa State and neighbouring states in the North East.

The management of MAUTH described the commencement of clinical services as another milestone in the hospital’s commitment to delivering accessible, efficient and high quality medical care to the public.

The hospital also encouraged residents of Adamawa and surrounding communities to take advantage of the world class healthcare services now available at the newly commissioned facility.
