Wildberries, Russia’s largest online retailer often described as “Russia’s Amazon,” has become one of the latest companies affected by Ukraine’s expanding long range drone campaign, with warehouse facilities reportedly struck during recent attacks.
Russian officials said Ukrainian drones targeted logistics infrastructure linked to Wildberries, sparking fires at warehouse facilities used to store and distribute goods. Emergency crews were dispatched to the affected sites, and authorities said investigations into the damage were continuing.
Wildberries confirmed that operations at some facilities had been disrupted but said it was working to restore services and minimise delays to customers. The company did not immediately estimate the financial impact of the attack or specify the volume of goods affected.
Ukraine has not officially commented on the reported strikes. Kyiv rarely claims responsibility for attacks inside Russia but has repeatedly stated that logistics centres, transport hubs and industrial facilities supporting Russia’s war effort are considered legitimate military targets.
The reported attack highlights how Ukraine’s long-range drone operations are increasingly reaching economic and commercial infrastructure deep inside Russia, adding pressure beyond the battlefield. Analysts said repeated strikes on logistics networks could disrupt supply chains and complicate the movement of goods across the country.
Wildberries has grown into Russia’s dominant e-commerce platform, handling millions of orders each day and serving customers across Russia and neighbouring countries. The company has become a critical part of the country’s retail and distribution network since the withdrawal of several Western firms following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
