The African Development Bank Group has approved a $13 million emergency grant to support Ebola outbreak response efforts in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Sudan, and Uganda. The funding will bolster disease surveillance, laboratory testing, rapid response teams, infection prevention measures, and cross-border coordination as the three countries work to contain the virus. The intervention is expected to strengthen regional health security, enhance emergency preparedness, and protect millions of people at risk from further transmission.
