Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has dismissed reports suggesting a political rift between him and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Abbas described the speculation as false and misleading, insisting that he maintains a cordial relationship with the governor and that both leaders remain committed to the progress and development of Kaduna State. He stressed that there is no division between them and urged the public to disregard rumours aimed at creating unnecessary political tension.

The Speaker reaffirmed his support for unity within the All Progressives Congress (APC), noting that party members should remain focused on delivering good governance rather than engaging in divisive politics. He also emphasized the importance of collaboration among political leaders in advancing the interests of the state and the nation.

Political observers believe the clarification is intended to reassure party supporters and prevent speculation from undermining preparations ahead of the 2027 elections. As political activities gradually intensify, leaders are expected to continue promoting unity and cooperation within their respective parties.
