Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has criticised the Federal Government following the abduction of a school principal, a NECO official and students during the ongoing NECO examination in Kogi State. He said the attack shows that the government has failed to protect schools and has neglected the education sector.
Atiku said schools and examination centres should be safe places for learning, not places where students and teachers fear for their lives. He called on the government to improve security around schools, rescue the victims without delay and take stronger steps to prevent similar attacks across the country.
