The Adamawa State Ministry for Local Government Affairs, in collaboration with the Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board (ADSUBEB) and the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), has sustained the screening of teaching and non-teaching staff for promotion across the state’s three senatorial zones.
The exercise, according to ADSUBEB’s Information Unit, covers all 21 Local Government Education Authorities (LGEAs) and follows the directive of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to facilitate staff promotion and career progression. Designated centres have been established to ensure an orderly, transparent and efficient process.

As part of the monitoring exercise, ADSUBEB Permanent Member II, Dr. Aliyu Sa’ad, visited the Yola North screening centre to assess progress. He was accompanied by the Director of Personnel Management, Hajiya Hajarat A. Kachalla, and the Director of Social Mobilisation, Hajiya Aisha Tijani.
Dr. Sa’ad reaffirmed the commitment of ADSUBEB, under Executive Chairman Dr. Murtala Umar Babayi, to a smooth and transparent process that recognises staff dedication and professionalism. The exercise underscores the state government’s commitment to staff welfare and strengthening basic education.
