Guinness Nigeria Plc has concluded its 10-week Open For More consumer promotion, rewarding 1,075 Nigerians, with Queen Thompson emerging as the grand prize winner of a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado valued at ₦150 million.
The vehicle was presented to Thompson at the company’s headquarters in Ogba, Lagos, by Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Girish Sharma.
Launched on July 18, 2026, the promotion rewarded 1,000 consumers with ₦100,000 each and another 75 with ₦1 million each before the final draw produced the grand prize winner.
The campaign was conducted under the supervision of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, which oversaw key aspects of the promotion, including approval of its terms, winner selection and prize delivery.
Sharma said the campaign was designed to recognise consumer loyalty and noted that the company’s customer base was becoming more balanced between men and women.
Mayor Esiaba, Head of Beer at Guinness Nigeria, said the promotion was intended to appreciate consumers who continue to patronise Guinness Foreign Extra Stout.
For Thompson, the win came as a surprise. She said she initially doubted the notification because she had been defrauded twice earlier in the year.
The promotion forms part of Guinness Nigeria’s efforts to strengthen consumer engagement and brand loyalty through nationwide campaigns.
Such initiatives can help companies maintain customer interest in a competitive consumer goods market, although their long-term commercial impact depends on whether promotional engagement translates into sustained sales and repeat purchases.
