The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) announced a physical verification exercise for foreign-trained Nigerian graduates participating in the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream I service year.

The exercise was scheduled for September 8 to 12, 2026, for prospective corps members whose academic credentials and travel documents had not yet been physically verified. NYSC directed affected graduates to report strictly according to the date, time and venue indicated on their verification slips.

The verification was conducted at nine designated centres across the country. They were located in Enugu, Bauchi, the Federal Capital Territory, Kano, Lagos, Osun, Rivers, Sokoto and Adamawa.

Foreign-trained graduates were required to present the original copies of the credentials and travel documents submitted during registration. NYSC’s requirements include degree or HND certificates, official transcripts, O’level certificates and relevant international passport documents.

The scheme warned that only prospective corps members who were physically verified and cleared would be considered for deployment, exemption or exclusion from national service.

The exercise was part of NYSC’s efforts to authenticate the qualifications of foreign-trained graduates before their mobilisation for national service.
