The Ondo State Government has directed the immediate removal of abandoned heavy-duty vehicles and equipment obstructing roads across the state.

The directive is aimed at clearing roadways of vehicles and machinery that have been left unattended, creating potential hazards for motorists and other road users.

The government said the move was necessary to improve road safety, ease traffic flow and prevent accidents caused by abandoned heavy equipment on major roads.

Relevant authorities have been tasked with identifying and removing the affected vehicles and equipment, particularly those obstructing busy routes and posing risks to motorists.

The development is part of efforts to maintain safer and more accessible roads across Ondo State and address activities that could compromise the free movement of vehicles and pedestrians.

Vehicle owners and operators are expected to comply with the directive by removing heavy-duty vehicles and equipment that have been abandoned along roadways.
