US food delivery company DoorDash is set to create 3,000 jobs in India over the next two years following the opening of a new global technology hub in Hyderabad, Telangana.
The centre, which opened on Wednesday, will initially employ 500 professionals and focus on customer support as well as general and administrative functions. It will become DoorDash’s third customer-support service hub globally, alongside facilities in Tempe, Arizona, and Mexico City.
The Hyderabad facility is DoorDash’s second technology office in India. Its existing Pune operation houses software, data and analytics teams that came through the company’s 2021 acquisition of robotics startup Chowbotics.
The expansion reflects a broader shift among multinational companies towards establishing global capability centres in India to reduce operating costs and reliance on external technology contractors. Several major companies have recently expanded their presence in Hyderabad.
India has become the world’s largest global capability centre hub, with more than 2,100 centres employing about 2.36 million people and generating nearly $100 billion in revenue, according to a 2026 Nasscom-Zinnov report.
For DoorDash, the Hyderabad hub will support its global operations while expanding its access to India’s large technology and service workforce.
