Chief Maurice Vunobolki, PhD, FCA, has criticised the Labour Party candidate over claims made in a widely circulated video, dismissing allegations that he worked under the candidate’s supervision while the latter served as a senator.
In a statement, Vunobolki said the claims did not come as a surprise, alleging that the LP candidate was resorting to frustration and cheap blackmail.
He described the claim about working under the candidate’s supervision as disrespectful and accused him of spreading false information.
Vunobolki recalled his service under the late Dr. Bala Takaya during his governorship campaigns in 1992 and 1999, stating that he supported Takaya because of his principles and philosophy of emancipation.
He argued that the LP candidate owed him gratitude rather than what he described as disrespect and blackmail.
The statement also criticised the candidate’s political manifesto, with Vunobolki alleging that a previous review of the candidate’s plans produced a plagiarism report showing 93.7 per cent AI-related content. The claim was presented by Vunobolki, but no independent verification or report was provided in the statement.
Vunobolki concluded by accusing the LP candidate of relying on blackmail against political opponents.
