The Obi, Kwankwaso Movement has unveiled a 59-member campaign council ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The movement said the council comprises members drawn from different parts of the country and will coordinate its political activities and mobilisation efforts ahead of the election.

The council is expected to focus on grassroots mobilisation, voter engagement, strategic communication and other activities aimed at strengthening the movement’s presence across the country.

The development comes as political parties and emerging political movements intensify preparations for the 2027 elections.

The movement is associated with supporters of former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi and former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, who have both remained prominent figures in Nigeria’s opposition political landscape.

The unveiling of the 59-member council is expected to mark a new phase in the movement’s preparations for the forthcoming electoral cycle.
