The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has unveiled a formidable campaign structure ahead of the 2027 general elections, with Governor Dapo Abiodun, former Governor Olusegun Osoba, ex-Governor Gbenga Daniel, and Senator Ibikunle Amosun leading the charge.

Party leaders announced that the quartet will spearhead mobilisation efforts across the state, leveraging their political experience and influence to consolidate APC’s base. The move is seen as a strategic attempt to unify the party’s factions and present a strong front against opposition parties.

Governor Abiodun emphasized that the campaign would focus on continuity and development, highlighting achievements in infrastructure, education, and industrial growth. He urged party members to remain united, stressing that internal cohesion is vital for electoral success. “We must work together as one family to ensure victory for the APC in 2027,” he said.

Former Governor Osoba described the campaign as a collective responsibility, noting that the APC must build on its legacy of governance in Ogun State. Gbenga Daniel, now a senator, pledged to use his national influence to strengthen the party’s prospects, while Amosun assured supporters that grassroots mobilisation would be intensified across all local governments.

Political analysts say the decision to bring together four heavyweight figures reflects APC’s determination to avoid internal divisions that have previously weakened its campaigns. The combined leadership is expected to energize supporters and reassure voters of the party’s readiness for the next electoral cycle.

Supporters at the unveiling expressed optimism, describing the campaign team as a symbol of unity and strength. They argued that the APC’s track record in Ogun State gives it an advantage, provided the leaders maintain cohesion and deliver on promises.

With the 2027 elections drawing closer, the APC’s strategy in Ogun is likely to influence political dynamics in the Southwest, where competition among parties remains intense. Observers believe that the collaboration of Abiodun, Osoba, Daniel, and Amosun could set the tone for broader alliances within the ruling party nationwide.
