Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived in New Delhi, India, to represent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the 18th BRICS Leaders’ Summit.
Shettima’s participation is expected to provide Nigeria with an opportunity to strengthen its economic and diplomatic engagement with BRICS member and partner countries, while exploring areas of mutual interest and cooperation.
Nigeria’s presence at the summit also underscores the Federal Government’s efforts to expand international partnerships, attract investment and promote opportunities for economic growth through stronger ties with emerging global economies.
The 18th BRICS Leaders’ Summit brings together leaders and representatives of countries within the bloc to deliberate on issues of global significance and opportunities for enhanced cooperation.
