Maiduguri, Borno State – Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested a suspected logistics supplier to Boko Haram terrorists during an intelligence-led operation in Gubio Local Government Area of Borno State.

The suspect, identified as Modu Rayami, was apprehended in Zowo village following credible intelligence linking him to the supply of essential items to insurgents operating along the Binduldul–Kareto corridor.

Military sources disclosed that the operation led to the recovery of several items allegedly intended for the terrorists, including jerrycans containing petrol, food supplies, soft drinks, and a mobile phone believed to be connected to the suspect’s activities.

According to the military, preliminary interrogation indicated that the suspect allegedly admitted to supplying logistics to members of the insurgent group operating within the area. Authorities said further investigations are ongoing to identify other individuals connected to the logistics network and to dismantle supply chains supporting terrorist activities in the North-East.

The arrest forms part of sustained counter-insurgency operations by Operation Hadin Kai aimed at disrupting the operational capabilities of Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) through targeted intelligence-driven missions.

Military authorities have reiterated their commitment to denying terrorist groups access to logistics, supplies, and other forms of support while urging members of the public to continue providing timely and credible information to security agencies to enhance ongoing security operations.

The Nigerian military has intensified offensive and intelligence operations across the North-East in a renewed effort to restore lasting peace and improve security in communities affected by insurgency.
