Father, Teenage Daughter Die After Falling Into Abandoned Well in Kano

A father and his teenage daughter have died after falling into an abandoned well in Kano State, authorities said, in a tragedy that has renewed concerns over the dangers posed by uncovered wells in residential communities.

According to local emergency officials, the incident occurred when the teenager reportedly fell into the abandoned well, prompting her father to attempt a rescue. Both became trapped inside the well and were later recovered without signs of life by emergency responders.
