India’s Tata Technologies reported a modest rise in second-quarter profit, supported by strong growth in its engineering services business, while reaffirming expectations for double-digit revenue growth for the full financial year.

The Tata Group company recorded a profit after tax of 1.71 billion rupees ($17.97 million) for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, representing a 3.6% increase from 1.66 billion rupees in the same period last year.

Revenue from operations rose 28.4% year-on-year to 16.99 billion rupees. Its services segment, which accounts for nearly 80% of total revenue, grew approximately 34%, while revenue from technology solutions increased 10.5%.

Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Warren Harris said the company expects to achieve strong double-digit revenue growth for the full financial year, reflecting continued demand for its engineering and technology services.

Tata Technologies provides engineering, product design and manufacturing consulting services to clients across the automotive, aerospace and industrial machinery sectors. Its customers include Jaguar Land Rover and Tata Motors.

Analysts at Ambit Capital expect the company’s automotive business to perform better than some industry peers, citing steady client spending and the expansion of a major project with a Japanese automaker.

The company is also linked to developments in the Indian automotive industry. Reuters previously reported that Honda Motor planned to partner with Tata Technologies to develop cars for the Indian market, a move expected to help reduce costs.

The latest results highlight Tata Technologies’ revenue growth momentum, although its relatively modest profit increase suggests that stronger sales have yet to translate into equivalent bottom-line growth.
