The Adamawa State Commissioner for Works, Hon. Engr. Mohammed Suleiman, has inspected areas affected by right of way encroachments along the ongoing 31 kilometre Kofare road network project in Yola.
The inspection, according to the Adamawa State Ministry of Works, focused on structures located along the approved alignment of Road E1, which could interfere with construction and create unsafe bends if left within the project corridor.

Accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Engr. Mundi Musa Ibrahim, and Surveyor Ishaku Medugu Iya, the Commissioner examined the affected sections of Kofare Layout to identify structures that may have to be removed to allow the project to proceed according to plan.
Hon. Suleiman emphasized the need to preserve the designated right of way, noting that adherence to the approved alignment is essential for road safety, proper functionality and the long term durability of the infrastructure.
The Commissioner also inspected other sections of the Kofare road project to assess the pace of construction and the quality of work being delivered.
His inspection team later visited Pupule Street, where construction has commenced. The visit was aimed at monitoring the progress of the project and ensuring that construction activities conform to approved specifications and required standards.
