Fidelity Bank Plc has secured another extension from the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) for the publication of its audited financial statements for the six months ended June 30, 2026, as the lender awaits outstanding regulatory approval.
The bank disclosed the development in a regulatory filing dated October 5 and said the additional extension became necessary because the required approval for the financial statements had not yet been obtained. NGX recorded the disclosure on October 6.
Fidelity Bank had previously received an extension that moved the deadline for publishing its half-year audited accounts to September 30. The latest approval means investors will have to wait further for the results, although the bank did not provide a new publication date.
The lender said it would release the audited accounts immediately after receiving the necessary regulatory clearance.
The delay also means Fidelity Bank’s closed trading window remains in effect. Directors, senior management personnel and other insiders subject to the bank’s dealing restrictions will not be permitted to trade in its shares until 24 hours after the publication of both the H1 2026 audited results and the unaudited financial statements for the third quarter ended September 30.
The development comes despite strong first-quarter performance. Fidelity Bank reported gross earnings of N434.95 billion in Q1 2026, up 37.9% from N315.42 billion a year earlier, while profit before tax reached N92.48 billion.
