Kano Pillars have unveiled RAFA Detergent as their new official front-of-shirt sponsor ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
The partnership, announced by the Kano-based club on Sunday, will see the RAFA brand displayed prominently on Pillars’ home and away jerseys as the club strengthens its commercial partnerships.
The agreement was signed by Alhaji Kabiru Rabiu, Chairman of Rafa Corporation and Group Executive Director of BUA Group, and Alhaji Ahmed Musbahu Garo, Chairman of the Kano Pillars Board of Directors.
Rabiu described the partnership as a natural alliance between a Nigerian manufacturing company and one of the country’s most recognised football clubs.
“We are very excited to form this partnership with Kano Pillars,” he said, highlighting the club’s huge following and deep connection with the people of Kano.
He added that football provides an avenue to promote discipline, friendship and unity among young people, while RAFA’s involvement would go beyond advertising to supporting the club’s development and expanding its reach.
RAFA replaces Radio France International Hausa, who occupied the front of the Pillars shirt last season in a reported ₦100m deal.
The new sponsorship forms part of the club’s efforts to attract greater private-sector investment under General Manager and former Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa, while reducing reliance on government funding.
RAFA is the latest detergent brand to feature on the Pillars jersey, following Viva Detergent, sponsored by Aspira Nigeria during the 2020/21 campaign.
Pillars are set to debut the new branding when they face Shooting Stars in their rescheduled NPFL Matchday Three fixture at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan, on Wednesday.
