The aircraft was on a routine mission from Benin City to Lagos when it crashed on Monday, October 5. President Tinubu has since ordered a thorough investigation into the cause of the accident and declared three days of national mourning for the fallen Air Force personnel.

The Agriculture Minister also extended his sympathies to the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, as well as officers, airmen and airwomen of the Nigerian Air Force.
